November 13, 2007

I am back! I was abducted by aliens and taken to outerspace. However, they sent me back because they thought I was going to take over their planet and I kept complaining about the lack of scrappy stores. So, my spaceship finally landed.

Can you believe I am the only house on our street that has their Christmas tree up? Yea, I know it's hard to believe. I am a Christmas freak. I always decorate early because it takes awhile to get eveything just right. This year I strayed from my usual pink and girly color scheme and opted for more traditional colors. I thought the reds would be more exciting for Abigail. I even went a step further and let her and Mark put ornaments on the tree. That is a HUGE step for me. I don't normally let anyone touch my tree...excuse me, OUR tree...but Abigail had so much fun and it is worth having ornament clumps just to see her smile. Ok, enough about the tree. I'll post photos when I get some.

I have tried to scrap but so far I haven't liked anything I have started. But, I have ordered new product, discovered a new scrappy store that has opened in the next town, AND I got an awesome package from Heather.

Heather sent some new Noteworthy....I am very excited. Thank you Heather!!!!!

Hopefully, I will be able to get my scrappin' groove on before I loose my mind.

So, how about some Halloween photos. Little late but that's ok.

My Hunk of Burning Love....he was Elvis. Look at the sexy, hairy chest. Now, ya'll don't be dreaming of my dog tonight when ya'll go to sleep.

Inquiring minds want to know and old but good LO

Didn't mean to leave you all hanging abou t the hiatus.Simply put...I am burnt out. I have put my heart into MOST of my layouts. I have done some heavy, raw, and very personal layouts...I basically am talked out.

But, one of my biggest problems is that I am not liking how this industry is evolving. There was a time when we were all supportive of eacother and their individual talents. Now, it's not about what you create but WHO you are. This scrapbooking world has become a huge clique and I am so not into that...wasn't into it in high school and certaintly not at 33 years old. And, the whole scrapsmack business...what is up with smacking people? How hurtful can we get? This has all put a bad taste in my mouth about scrapping. Moving on, I have also gotten pretty irritated in my lack of supplie selection. Not much to choose from around here. It's very difficult to be creative when you have nothing to buy. Yes, I know I can buy online but ya'll don't know my hubby. He is very funny about his credit card. I would have an easier time convincing him to have a vasectomy. And the other thing...it has overtaken my life. I scrap instead of doing the things that need to be done like wash clothes...how bad of me. I was, not only getting lazy in my scrapping but also in my daily life. Really got to work on the time management skills.

This is just a short and sweet summary about what is going on. However, IT IS ONLY a break...i will return to scrapping, most likely sooner than later. Scrapping is in my blood but not in my heart at the moment.

I hope you all don't mind if I post an old LO since it's Aleida's favorite (Ithink this is the one she was talking about).
