Pic674_2 Here's Abigail's new haircut. She had like 7 inches chopped off...ack! It had to be cut because she refused to brush it and the tangles were horrible. So I made her get it cut...yes, I know I am a bad mother but I couldn't take it any more. I had a difficult time with the decision but she LOVES it and she does brush it now...yay! Me, not so sure I'm liking it, I think it makes her look older...do not like that. Oh, the trials and tribulations of motherhood...ain't it fun?

Pic500 My friend Linda got"tagged" to do 7 random facts and did it on Abbie. She didn't tag anyone but just asked others to do it. So, I had to my 7 random facts on Albert. Here's Albert's list and told by Albert:

  1. I wake mama up in the middle of the night so she'll put me int he big bed. She's half asleep so she doesn't know what she's doing.
  2. I am not fond of my pink bowls...I am a BOY! But, mama says they match her decor so they stay.
  3. I love my backyard because it's full of squirrels. Sometimes there will be like 10 of them and I get so confused trying to decide which one to chase...decisions, decisions!
  4. I love to chase the train that is behind our house. There IS a fence so don't get your panties in a wad.
  5. I am not allowed to have people food so when my human sissy is eating I go to her with the "poor-pitiful doggy eyes"...it works everytime.
  6. I sit in the crook of the couch and wait for the mailman (see above photo). Then, I pretend to be a Great Dane with my ferocious bark. Hey, it's a pretty deep bark for such a little dog.
  7. I snore, whine and whimper in my sleep. Dogs dream to, you know.

have a good day!

Okay, so how do ya'll like my new banner? I brought the brains out of the archives to use. I used one on a Lo awhile back...ooh, let me show you.Why_i_chose So anyway, the first brain is a depressed brain and the second one is a schizoprenic brain...the third one, I can't remember. Not that I am scizophrenic but I thought the brains would be perfect for the title of my blog.

I did the third challenge for Scrapping the Music. The song is My Sacrifice by Creed. I wanted to something a little different and ended up doing it on the millitary. I kept the embellishments simple because I didn't really think that it needed too many. When I was doing this I kept thinking about this man at the gym, Leo, he is a WWII veteran and is 82 years old. Yes, he still goes to the gym...everyday!Sample_30_2 I felt a need to honor the heros that sacrificed more than I have ever thought about. I have sacrificed nothing compared to these men, woman, and even dogs. Not only have many lost their lives but they have their lost limbs, their sanity, their marriages and so much more. I was short on the journaling...Your sacrifice means I am free.

Ya'll have a good night...that was in my lovely southern brogue!

Tomorrow I am going to post some pictures of Abigail's new haircut...she had like 7 inches cut off....ack!!!! It looks good though and she loves it.

Have a good night.

Secret...shh!

I have a secret. Just whatever you do ....do not let Albert know I told you all. He is kind of shy. Albert has MET someone...online.Pic643 Can you see her photo on the computer? Her name is Abbie and she is absolutely beautiful...she has that long flowing hair like Albert. Her mama is Linda...she is such a wonderful lady and very fun to talk to. She is fanatic about Doxies also. We love our babies and the breed.

Albert was pretty pissed today because the mailman didn't come...shame on that mailman! I was trying to explain to him that sometimes we do not get mail everyday but maybe... tomorrow. Well, he broke the news that he needs his own blog. WHAT? I thought to myself. I told him he wouldn't get alot of visitors because most dogs can't type (he thinks that just b/c he can type all dogs can). So, I am going to have to lay down some ground rules for him first before we decide (you know like...no nude photos...stuff like that). If we do decide we'll let ya'll know.Pic662 Pic652_2

Look at this boy GO...look at those teeth.

I am going to update again on Sunday...hopefully with good news and it has nothing to do with fertilized eggs...haha!

See you soon!

Wednesday

I was very sick yesterday...very sick to my stomach. Do not fear though, no eggs have been fertilized. I don't know what it was or even how I got it. My mom said I probably caught something from the gym...don't think so. But, you know moms know everything. Abigail stayed home from school today because she was "sick". Well, she was a little congested. So,guess what we did...made Christmas lists! My list according to her:

  • ink for the printer
  • scrapbook supplies
  • new dog

Got to love that girl. Now, if only she can remember to tell her Daddy what mama NEEDS. She said that I can get anything from Santa Clause. If only she knew the truth. Why did we ever teach her to believe in something like that? But, why take away such a fun childhood belief.

I had planned to reorganize my scrapbook supplies...maybe that will get my mojo going. How could you possibly be creative when all of my supplies are spread All over the house. I have stuff in the kitchen, den, goof-off room, and upstairs. No wonder I can't get anything done...I'm always going from room to room looking for stuff. Do most of you have your own scrapping rooms? I don't so that is a problem for me. I could have my own room but I like to scrap in the kitchen...gotta be in the middle of everything.

YA"LL have a good day and talk to you soon! Oh, and sorry no pictures today...I thought maybe you all were tired of seeing Albert.

I was very saddened to learn that Gloria Froese is quitting the scrapbooking business. I will never forgrt the first time I saw one of her layouts-I was in complete awwe! There are not many times when I have been speechless but that was definately one of those times. Her layouts are beyond scrapbooking...thay are works of art. Each piece she creates is magnificant and unique in every aspect. Gloria has been a true inspiration and I will miss her work greatly. The art world will loose a great contributer.

I have contimplated on many occasions to call it quits myself...heck, I tell Tammy just about everyday that I'm quitting. Usually when I've lost my groove. You know those times when nothing seems to come together, you find the perfect supplies, or you feel like you don't get the praise you deserve? Lets face it, we are woman, we thrive off praise. Praise keeps me going. But, all in all, sometimes I feel like I'm just not making it in this highly competitive world. I will say though, I would gladly give it up if my hubby would let me adopt a special needs Doxie. Don't woory though, that's not going to happen anytime soon.

Going to leave you with some pictures from the weekend.

Rambling

  • I had to give Albert a bath today. here are some photos...don't worry though, all of his parts are covered. Now we wouldn't want to expose him on the internet now would we?Pic612 Poor things looks like wet rat...a very large oversized wet rat. But, he is still gorgeous! Giving this boy a bath is an excercise. It takes FOREVER to get the soap out of all that hair.

I sucked it up and did the Scrapping The Music challenge...and, I really enjoyed it. I will definately continue to do this. Here is my take on the song "Say It Right by Nelly Furtado.You_either_stand_or_you_fall I chose not to use the title of the song but a line from it. I like how the photo turned out.

Not much going on other than that and I need to do some serious housecleaning...it usually does no good because it's usually a complete diaster in about an hour.

Out of curiosity...when you visit blogs, what do you all like to read about? I feel like blog is VERY boring. Thanks for the input. Have a wonderful day and weekend.

Thursday

  • Dsc_0002_3 Here ia a few snapshots of things that struck me wrong yesterday.
  1. For starters...Albert has all of a sudden decided he doesn't like the red pieces in his food so he picks them out now...and leaves them all over the place...what a goofball.Pic602_2
  2. Shoes in the floor...big petpeeve. Honey, get those freaking shoes off the floor...and while your at it do something with that tacky phone cord.Pic603_2

And of course the EMPTY toilet paper roll. Is my husband the only one that doesn't change the paper?Pic606

Ooops...here is my mess! Can't stand anything on my countertops either. But it's my mess so that doesn't count, right?

Tuesday

Failing_to_try_2 Wow...it's been a few days since I have posted. I have been pretty busy.

Here's a new layout. Not sure if I'm liking it yet...actually, I really haven't done anything that I like lately...that's beside the point though. Anyway, I did this LO about why I don't try. Trying out for DT and submitting my work. The journaling is not very explanatory so I'll explain it here. In a few words...I am scared to death to try out for DT. I am absolutely petrified. I am so afraid of failing and disappointment that in my mind it's easier to just not to try out. It scares thre day lights out of me. I have thought about it so many times...I've gone to the computer numerous times to upload the work but chickened out at the last minute. However, I am going to change that way of thinking. I think the best, at first, would be to do some challenges until I get comfortable. The one challenge I really want to do is Scrapping the Music. I use alot of lyrics in my LO so I think this will be right up my alley. Music ahs to be the best inspiration for scrapping...it always get my brain going. Any other challenge blogs ya'll can think of?

04_13_0_2 Today is Abigail's Birthday...5 years old! Where did the time go? It seems like yesterday she was still being bottle fed, still changing diapers, still waking up at all hours of the night. It's funny though...I miss it at times. I miss the 2 am feedings, even though it took her almost an hour to eat half an ounce (Abigail was 6 wks. early so she had to eat every two hours and could only eat small amounts). It's amazing how much she has grown, how much she has changed, and how independent she has become. I love my daughter very much but I have to admit I look at her different now...now that Susan lost her daughter. Does that make any sense? I want to do things differently, hold her longer, watch her sleep more, laugh more with her. Happy Birthday Abigail!!!!

Pic465 Thank you all for asking about my grandmother...I appreciate it. Let me give you some background info first. My granma is a double amputee in a wheelchair and is in a nursing home. When my aunt died last week the nursing home called a transport ambulance to take her to the funeral. Well, the ambulance had a wreck on the way to the funeral. The impact of the wreck threw my grandma out of her wheelchair and she landed directly on her face! She was taken to the hospital and a CAT scan showed no injuries...she was released. Okay, now they have discovered she has renal kidney failure and delirium. The delirium is caused from the events that have taken place (death, wreck) and from the kidney failure. Since she has kidney failure it is not processing her medications properly. It's a BIG mess. She has survived a great deal. Right now no one is quite sure about her prognosis. I will keep you updated though.

Susan is doing Ok. I went to recieving friends last night and it was just so sad. Susan, however, did not shed a tear. I am sure she is still in shock or denial. Loosing a child has to be one of the most unnatural events that can occur in a mother's life. We are not suppose to bury our children. Susan held up much better than Jessie's friends. But, I had to wonder if she was doing it for them. After everything is over and family goes back home I'm sure her "strength" will take it's toll and she will have to come to terms with her tragic loss.
